Why the charango?

Small in size, huge in sound

The charango is the soul of Andean music: bright, joyful and full of history. If you already play guitar you will feel at home very quickly; and if you are starting from zero, it is a comfortable and very rewarding instrument.

Tuning and fingering

We teach you the traditional tuning and basic shapes so it sounds beautiful from the start.

Andean strumming

Strumming is the charango’s magic. We work on it step by step, slowly and then up to tempo.

Interactive number notation

In MAVIRTUAL you see on screen which string and fret to play while the music sounds.

Music with roots

Rhythms and songs from the Andes and Latin America, to play alone or with friends.
